Here’s a very “LA” modeling photo of me for you.

Here’s a very “LA” modeling photo of me for you.

Who am I?

My name, Vanessa Bisetti. Upon first impressions, I am your average 28-year-old Los Angeles girl. It’s so embarrassing, in my opinion, to sit here and list all the things that make me stand out, so I’d rather just explain to you who I am instead.

When I first dropped down into LA, by way of Colorado, I did what every success-driven human would do--I tried every profession under the sun to make money. I did modeling gigs, writing for online magazines, commercial acting, etc. Exploring every creative talent I could to make extra cash. And, like most twenty-two-year-olds, I hated what I was doing. Then, I was approached by a friend to start an online clothing store. She knew I came from a background of entrepreneurs and studied communications + business in college and therefore deemed me as an excellent fit to be her partner. This is where my creative journey began; it started with our baby known as EFFIN Shop. Selling online is all visual. From your email campaigns to your product images, banner graphics, packaging, web design, ads, etc. None of which I had an ounce of experience in, not to mention inventory management, business taxes, budgeting, all the excel sheets in the world and beyond. But, like every bootstrapping entrepreneur, we sat down and learned everything we could. Hours watching YouTube videos for Photoshop, reading articles on Shopify web design, reviewing analytics, spending hours on hold with the State of California, keeping up with social media trends, picking each other up when our account went in the negative (in the beginning this was a once-every-two-weeks ordeal), etc. And, as it grew and grew over three years, it was time for me to move on to my next venture. Another shop, yet this time, what took me years to learn and implement took me one month, and that cycle has continued. So in a short six years you have: corporate job, shop 1, shop 2, a spinoff of shop 2, corporate responsibility, you are now up to speed.

Now, moving onto you.

Why is all of this relevant to you?

I have had to learn everything I know, starting a business from the ground up (twice). Why is that an advantage for you? Because I’m a business woman and a creative, it has made me a person that can wear many hats. When I don’t know how to do something, I learn how to do it. So, while I appreciate branding, aesthetics, and design, I understand your need for communication, collaboration, quick turnaround times, efficiency and most importantly, that you’re hiring me to do a job, not to hold my hand while you’re stressed with the 57 other things on your to-do list. I’m not the babysitter that you hire because you need help yet you work from home because you’re scared she’s going to kill the kids. I’m the nanny that you leave your kids with for two weeks and go to the Bahamas. Live your life!

I’m just here to make growing your business easier.

What’s even better?

That last corporate job that I just mentioned introduced me to Amanda Samoyloff. Her and I have now teamed up and are the heads of Samoyloff PR. Amanda has 10+ years under her belt in PR and an expert copywriter. Not to mention her branding and design skills. The benefits? You have someone who excels in public relations behind your copy and branding…you’re in good hands. We compliment each other perfectly and can be of benefit to any person or company, big or small.
